Originating from Tokyo, End of the World (SEKAI NO OWARI) was formed in 2007 with their combined passion for music and their deep personal connections as childhood friends who collectively managed a live music venue in Japan. The band has since seen a meteoric rise to the top within the Japanese music scene with their latest album Tree which reached #1 on the hit charts. The quartet has also performed two sold-out shows at the 70,000 seat Nissan Stadium, Japan’s largest venue.
In 2017, the eclectic quartet released a global debut single ‘One More Night’ with their second international single ‘Stargazer’ released earlier this February. Over the last year, the band has been working on collaborative projects with UK-based electronic act Clean Bandit after touring with them in the US and remixing their hit tune ‘Rockabye’, as well as the American funk-pop band DNCE.
