Meet Flume (aka Harley Edward Streten), Australia's prominent figure in the EDM scene. Both a producer and a DJ, Streten has worked and collaborated with the likes of Chet Faker, T-shirt, Tove Lo, AlunaGeorge and many more.
We retrace his beginnings in 2012 with his self-titled debut album 'Flume'. It topped the ARIA albums chart and reached double-platinum accreditation in Australia. To date, he has also contributed productions for Lorde and Vince Staples albums 'Melodrama' and 'Big Fish Theory' respectively.
This year (2019), he released a seventeen track mixtape featuring collaborations with KUČKA, EPROM, JPEGMAFIA, SOPHIE, HWLS and slowthai. The mixtape is set up to self-consciously dismantle the view of Straten making music optimized for the algorithm and marks a point of re-introduction. From dismantled clubby beats to its thick bass, Streten maintained his melodies in the foreground.
Flume will be touring around Asia this August, so don't miss your chance to catch him live!
