OF MONSTERS AND MEN went from the talk of Iceland to the top of the global conversation with their 2011 debut album, 'My Head Is An Animal’ and breakthrough single off the album, ‘Little Talks’. The band earned a quintuple-platinum certification from the RIAA, amassed over 1 billion streams on Spotify, and landed a performance on Saturday Night Live. Soon after, they appeared on official soundtracks for franchises such as The Hunger Games, The Walking Dead, and Beat Bugs, to name a few. In the midst of this rapid rise, 2015’s Beneath The Skin bowed in the Top 3 of the Billboard Top 200 and the band starred in an episode of HBO’s Game of Thrones in the same year.
Their latest album ‘Fever Dream’ represents the band’s solid transition from traditional Icelandic folk sound, with additions of synthesizers, piano, and electronic instruments. The album is best enjoyed chronologically as the order of the songs unveils a story. Each track highlights the album's central theme of being in a dreamlike state and stirs up a range of emotions - leaving one consumed in their feelings. Without a doubt, one of their best works to date, showcasing the band’s musical and lyrical versatility.
