It’s safe to say Asia’s music game is thriving as we see more music festivals around the region. With festival season kicking in, one can feel swamped by the limitless options available. We’re keeping things simple for you with our personal picks! We’ve got familiar names making the list, with a couple of newcomers on the block – all listed in order of dates.

 1. It’s The Ship Singapore 2019

Where: To depart from Marina Bay Cruise Centre, Singapore to international waters.

When: 13 – 15 November 2019

This three-day, two-night cruise music festival is by far, Asia’s largest festival at sea! It’s The Ship will take place on board one of the world’s largest cruise line – Genting Dream. Think luxurious accommodations, endless selection of dining options, and fun activities to choose from. 2. Maho Rasop Festival

Where: Live Park Rama 9, Bangkok, Thailand

When: 16 – 17 November 2019

Did you know that Maho Rasop Festival is the first-ever international independent music festival in Bangkok? Headed by promoters – HAVE YOU HEARD?, Seen Scene Space, and Fungjai, festival goers can look forward to a well-curated selection of international and local artists, arts, food, and cultural activities. This year’s edition sees Bombay Bicycle Club, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, The Horrors, The Drums, and many more acts in the roster.

3. Urbanscapes

Where: Sentul Depot, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

When: 16 – 24 November 2019

Urbanscapes returns for another edition this coming November, spread across three weekends in various parts of KL’s historic core. The main event, Unlimited Grooves Festival is set to take place over three days with an exceptional music offering, delicious food alternatives, and a bustling art program.

4. Clockenflap Hong Kong

Where: Central HarbourFront, Hong Kong

When: 22 – 24 November 2019

Hong Kong’s biggest annual music and arts festival, Clockenflap returns this November with an impressive lineup. This edition will see them celebrating talents from all over the world which includes Halsey, Mumford & Sons, Lil Pump, Crowd Lu, and many more! 5. Neon Lights Festival

Where: Fort Canning Park, Singapore

When: 23 – 24 November 2019

Singapore’s premier outdoor music and arts festival, Neon Lights is back for its fourth edition at Fort Canning Green. This year proves to be even bigger and better with top class headliners like Mumford & Sons, Halsey, Nick Murphy (aka Chet Faker), Honne, and many more. 6. LEGACY Festival

Where: Siloso Beach Sentosa, Singapore

When: 6 – 7 December 2019

A new multi-genre dance music festival has arrived in Singapore and it’s none other than, Legacy Festival. The 2-day festival is put together by an all-local team of DJs and creative talents. Tiësto and Don Diablo are confirmed to headline the festival alongside a diversified pool of supporting acts!

7. Echoes Of Earth

Where: The Sanctuary, Mumbai, India

When: 7 – 8 December 2019

A mutual love for music and concern for environment sustainability has brought together a common cause: Echoes of Earth FestivalMaintaining its reign as India’s greenest music festival, this edition will play host to over 40 International & local musicians. They’ve got Acid Pauli, Fakear, Shigeto Live Ensemble, and plenty more on the roster! 8. 808 Festival

Where: Bitec B-Square, Bangkok, Thailand

When: 6 – 8 December 2019

Thailand’s leading EDM festival, 808 Festival, returns this December for its seventh instalment.Household names such as Calvin Harris, Skrillex, and Zedd who are known for their high energy sets are recently revealed to headline the festival this year. We’re pumped for what’s to come!

9. Wonderfruit

Where: The Fields at Siam Country Club, Pattaya, Thailand

When: 12 – 16 December 2019

Wonderfruit is Thailand’s annual affair with music, art, food, and ideas. Without a doubt, one of Asia’s most compelling and progressive festivals, as it celebrates global talents through a sustainable approach. Across four days, wonderers will be treated to an abundant selection of sets and performance by Acid Pauli, Breakbot & Irfane, Camion Bazar b2b La Mamie’s, and more!

10. Magnetic Fields Festival

Where: Alsisar Mahal, Rajasthan, India

When: 13 – 15 December 2019

Seven years in, Magnetic Fields Festival returns stronger than ever and is ready to host some of dance music’s finest & forward thinking artists – Maribou State, Ross from Friends, The Black Madonna, and many more. 11. Djakarta Warehouse Project

Where: JIEXPO KEMAYORAN, Jakarta, Indonesia

When: 13 – 15 December 2019

It is almost time to revel in the ultimate festival experience as Djakarta Warehouse Project returns for its eleventh edition this December. 12. Epizode

Where: Phu Quoc Island, Phu Quoc, Vietnam

When: 27 December 2019 – 7 January 2020

Recognised as one of the most iconic electronic music festivals in Asia, Epizode returns for a much-anticipated fourth edition at Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam. 13. Creamfields Hong Kong

Where: Art Park, West Kowloon Cultural District, Hong Kong

When: 28 – 29 December 2019

World’s leading dance music festival, Creamfields returns for its third year in Hong Kong! Last year saw top acts such as Alesso, Diplo, Martin Garrix, and many more. This year, the festival will make its comeback even bigger and better, with a star-studded lineup currently in the works.
